No experience is necessary...
Just a desire and dedication to help others!

LDA of Indiana’s unique blend of volunteers are parents, professionals,
individuals with LD and/or ADHD and other interested persons.  Over the
past
40 years, we have been blessed to have some very passionate and
dedicated people who have worked together to make a difference in the
lives of students with Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorders,
by creating community awareness, advocating for appropriate educational
services, and offering support and information to other parents and
professional throughout Indiana.

We invite you to volunteer and serve as a Board Member, on a Committee
or as a Professional Advisory Board Member - You will be glad you did!

Board of Directors (elected position):
  • Those serving must be a member of the Learning Disabilities
    Association.
  • Be committed to serving for a term of 2 years.
  • Attend the scheduled four (4) Board Meetings each year.
  • Work with the other board members in furthering the
    mission of LDA by serving as Chairperson, Officer or Committee
    Member.

Committee Members:
  • Those serving must be a member of the Learning Disabilities
    Association.
  • Be committed to serving for a term of 1 year.
  • Attend one (1) Board Meeting.
  • Be an active member of one (1) committee to help with activities   
    to further the mission of LDA.

Professional Advisory Board Members:
  • Professional Advisory Board members consist of professionals
    from a backgrounds related to raising and educating children   
    with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Disorders.      
    PAB members serve as a Board resource, giving advice,
    recommendations, up-dates and reports, as needed by the   
    Board on issues that affect individuals with LD/ADHD.
  • Those serving must be a member of the Learning Disabilities
    Association.
  • Be committed to serving for a term of 2 years.
  • Attend at least one (1) Board Meeting during each year they serve.
  • Contribute one article on an LD or ADHD topic for publication in
    our state newsletter.
