Best Wishes to Retiring Board Member
Dawn Lytle

The Board of Directors of LDA of Indiana wants to recognize
a long standing member of our Board who is leaving
after serving at the state level for many years.

Dawn Lytle has been a dedicated member with LDA of Indiana since 1984, when she became active in a local
parents’ group in Kokomo.  Dawn and her husband, Andy, raised two sons with learning disabilities, and they found
the local LDA group to be a lifeline while their boys were in school.  Dawn became a volunteer on the Indiana State
LDA Board of Directors in 1990 and eventually served as President of the Board.

Under her leadership, a small group of volunteers kept the LDA of Indiana organization going for many years.
Besides serving as State President, she held positions as  Vice-President, Chairperson of the Conference
Committee, Legislative Co-Chiar, Library Director and Membership Chair.   She has attended the Annual National
LDA Conference over 20 times, and has been a “Table Talk” presenter at the National Conference, and if you
have been to our Annual State LDA-IN Conferences in past years, you have seen her and benefited from her
volunteer work.

Dawn played an important part in the continuation and progress of LDA of Indiana.  She exhibited leadership
skills, knowledge of the field of LD, good common sense, and a 23 year dedication to LDA.  We wish to recognize
and thank Dawn Lytle for all her years of service.
